Ilvi Bimi – UI/UX & Web Designer
Throughout my journey, I have worked with a diverse range of businesses, start-ups, and educational institutions. This experience has enabled me to adapt to different cultures and approaches in design projects.
BELOW ARE A FEW CASE STUDIES AND A LIST OF SOME OF MY PROJECTS
Overview: An EU co-funded project strengthening Albania's independent justice institutions. The site needed a redesign that communicated institutional authority without sacrificing clarity or accessibility.
Approach: Mapped distinct journeys for three primary audience groups: justice sector professionals, EU stakeholders, and the general public. Restructured the entire information architecture around these three paths.
Overview: Select Hill is a four-season luxury resort on Dajt Mountain. Despite being one of Albania's finest properties, the existing site failed to reflect that quality or convert visitors into direct bookings.
Approach: Mapped all key user journeys and structured each section around its specific conversion goal. Designed a content-first layout with immersive full-width imagery and refined typographic hierarchy to signal premium positioning from the first scroll.
Overview: GreenFORCE is an EU-funded initiative fostering research excellence for the Western Balkans' green transition. The platform supports five major organizations (including Co-PLAN and Nordregio) in producing territorial knowledge and institutional learning across Albania, Serbia, and North Macedonia.
Approach: Built a comprehensive research hub that manages complex data across five work packages. The UX was designed to transition individual learning into institutionalized practices, featuring a "Learning Hub" for PhD/Master exchanges and a highly structured repository for policy briefs and scientific publications.
Design Decisions: Scientific authority through clarity. The interface prioritizes clean, data-heavy content delivery without overwhelming the user. We utilized a systematic navigation structure to separate "Research Topics" (like Net-Zero transitions in Tirana) from "Results and Deliverables," ensuring that both policy-makers and academia can access sensitive research data efficiently.
Overview: A luxury property in Albania that required a complete digital presence built from zero. The brief was to create something that communicated exclusivity and trust immediately.
Design Decisions: Restraint as a signal of quality. Chose a minimal palette, generous negative space, and precise typographic contrast. Room pages were designed as conversion pages, not galleries.
Overview: A private university in Tirana. The client approached me specifically to redesign CIT's digital presence to match and surpass an international benchmark, producing a developer-ready Figma prototype.
Design Decisions: Admissions conversion first—brand statement second. Restructured the homepage around a prospective student's decision journey, giving programme exploration and application CTAs primary visual weight.
Overview: One of Albania's leading HR consulting firms. A complete design and build from scratch was commissioned, covering 17 distinct service lines across two languages.
Approach: Grouped services into four logical clusters. Designed a structured navigation system that supports both browsing and direct deep-linking. Applied a consistent structural template to reduce cognitive load.
